Brown Folks Fishing cultivates visibility, representation, and inclusion in the fishing community. It is both a space for anglers of color to build community and share knowledge, and a movement to reclaim and surface the fishing practices and traditions that have always been part of our communities and histories. Together, we can expand access and build a new sort of coalition to protect and preserve the waterways and resources we access. Tracy Nguyen-Chung is the PNW born child of SE Asian refugees. She is a Creative Director and Publicist at After Bruce, a boutique PR and marketing agency whose strategic work includes campaigns with the International Documentary Association, Sundance Institute Office of Outreach and Inclusion, MAJORITY, and Firelight Films (The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution). She is also a photographer and documentary producer. Her credits include the short films, Supply Chain Reaction and Ballad of the Global Patriot, both directed by Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning filmmaker Jehane Noujaim. Tracy is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College and received a Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
