The Culture

The best thing about working at CTDC is: the ratio of women to men is 8:2 and diverse across all spectrums.
When we’re not working, we’re: on the Trail and outdoors.
What we’re reading: The Indigenous People’s History of the United States; Desert Cabal
What we’re listening to: Everything.
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called: “The magic behind the curtain” Our office is located in an old high school and to get to our office you have to walk up on the stage of the auditorium and  walk behind the curtain…The movie would have to be high energy, and maybe be a dark comedy, but mostly show a group of people who really respect each other and have one of the most passionate, youthful teams working on behalf of our public lands ever….
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:  Inclusion is the underlying foundation of the landscapes and communities within which we work and wish to expand.  Inclusion means that every voice along the Continental Divide has a seat at the table and the opportunity to influence the future of this 3,100 mile long corridor of land across the Rocky Mountains.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that: The CDTC and the Trail will reflect the faces of the cultures, people, and history of the landscapes through which the Trail passes in a way that enriches the depth of understanding of the landscape, honors the past but looks toward an even more united community of supporters for the CDT.

The One-Year Goals
