The Culture

Demographics (Optional): Uncertain, but we’re certain to include more variation.
The best thing about working at Granite Gear is: We’re a passionate bunch who strives to ensure our products are high-function and high-quality.
When we’re not working, we’re: In the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, on the Superior Hiking Trail or at a concert.
What we’re reading: In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin, Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde, Devil in the White City by Erik Larson, Start with Why by Simon Sinek
What we’re listening to: Radiohead (always), Chance, Khruangbin, Noname, Justin Vernon
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called: We’d Rather Be Hiking and Paddling
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because: The outdoors is the first and truest version of utopia and harmony. We all need to do our part to make sure that it is as closely representative of that as possible.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that: closed doors in the outdoor industry that are bound by systemic racism and discrimination will no longer exist. We also hope to see the wilderness as a safe and inclusive place for all individuals. We know that we have work to do and we’ll do our best to help achieve these goals.
