The Culture


The best thing about working at Moosejaw is: All of the talented, funny people that don’t take themselves too seriously but still seriously kick ass on a daily basis.
When we’re not working, we’re: Outdoors doing something, even if it’s just napping in a hammock or biking to the nearest brew pub.
What we’re reading: We’re an eclectic group, so it might be anything from “Snow Crash” by Neal Stephenson to “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” by Julia Child.
What we’re listening to: Whatever is on the office Spotify playlist. Today someone is on an 80’s R&B jag. Apparently that girl is Pooooison.
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called: “The lunatics have taken over the asylum”
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because: Diversity makes us stronger – as a company, as an industry and as a country. Being more inclusive will bring more people into the outdoors. That’s just good for business. More people involved in the outdoors means more people that care about the outdoors and our environment.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that: improved inclusivity in our marketing and hiring combined with improved access and affordability will lead to greatly improved participation in outdoor activities by currently underrepresented groups.
